POINTS TO PONDER
"The
mere act of teaching implies that one
wishes the world well." -- Roger
Rosenblatt
“The job of a spiritual teacher is to poke,
provoke, confront and elevate." -- Yogi
Bhajan
"Cover your 'hangups'!" -- HangupsByHari.com
"Life
is the only gift of God within you ... be grateful." -- Yogi Bhajan
"Think
about it. You grew your magnificent brain, perhaps the most
complicated thing in the world. And you grew it without even thinking
about it. A supremely intelligent Life Force of unknown origin created
and sustains this miracle of life. It's what we refer to as God."
-- Hari Singh
"Underneath
the superficial self, which pays attention to this and that, there
is another self more really us than I. And the more you become aware
of
the Unknown Self -- if you become aware of it -- the more you realize
that it is
inseparably connected with everything else that is. You are a function
of this total
galaxy, bounded by the Milky Way, and this galaxy is a function of
all other galaxies.
You are that vast thing that you see far, far off with great telescopes.
You look and
look, and one day you are going to wake up and say, "Why, that's
me!" And in
knowing that, you know that you never die. You are the eternal thing
that comes
and goes, that appears -- now as John Jones, now as Mary Smith, now
as
Betty Brown -- and so it goes, forever and ever and ever." -- Alan Watts
I
am a native of the Midwest. I hold a current Florida Insurance license.
I'm a wife, mother and grandmother, as well. I have served as an Administrator, Opticians' Assistant, and as a Community College Computer Lab Assistant.
I am also serving as a mentor in my Florida community.
I
am blessed to have the opportunity to share some interesting news
and views with you and our family along with some helpful information and a few
laughs. You'll find many diverse and interesting links to do with
Life, the people, places, things and events happening all around us.
Some are of a humorous nature. Most are
informative and thought provoking.
And some can even be considered divergent.
A
pair of doves outside a window of our home, the 'Bird's Nest'.
Our favorite bird.
Below
is a special assortment of just a
few of the diverse collection of hundreds of links in our University
of Diversity library having to do with the awesome Diversity of
Life, the people, places, things and events, which are happening all
around us and within us, all of it being an expression of the One
Creator, the One Source. See Acknowledgements. See BroadPoints.com.
So
as a Student of Life, sit back, relax, rejoice, and prepare to ponder
the sublime, the shocking, the silly, the subtle, the serious, the
surprising, the strange, the secret, the superb, the sacred, the Supreme.
Life, after all, is a University of Diversity. Just a few examples
follow.
Please report any dead links here. Thanks!

Those who shall not learn to obey shall never
be in a position to command. -- Yogi Bhajan
Create dependable
children, not dependent children. Give your children
the basic values to face their own tomorrows, not be blinded by yours. Make
them proper personalities, not helpless puppets. Position them for success;
do not paralyze them with the commotion of your emotions. -- Yogi Bhajan
The basic aspect of you as woman is not in your sensuality and in your dramas.
You are not only the givers of life, you are the manufacturers of character. Whatever
character you will give to your children, that shall be their future. -- Yogi Bhajan
Children are born with intrinsic leadership traits that prepare them for life.
These must translate positively into the lives they lead as citizens of the world.
These are: Service, Justice, Courage, Compassion, Decisiveness, Reliability,
Integrity, Initiative, Knowledge, Loyalty, Enthusiasm, Endurance. -- Hari Singh

"Do
not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not

Do not believe

Do not believe in
